Undocumented Student Action Week

Today marks the beginning of Undocumented Student Action Week. In light of the US Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruling that the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program is illegal, it is important that you understand what this means for our undocumented community here in Napa county.

Napa Valley College Theater Technical Director Matthew Cowell to Teach Stagecraft this Fall at Napa Valley College

In August 2021, students can learn stagecraft from acclaimed technical director, recording and sound engineer and set builder, Matthew Cowell, who will be teaching Stagecraft (THEA 141), a 15-week course on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:30 to 4:55 p.m. at the Napa Valley College Performing Arts Center. Classes start on August 15.

Help for Ukraine

We are deeply saddened by the events taking place in Ukraine. Today, I received the email below from the Chancellor and I wholeheartedly agree with and support his statement on the need to support democratic movements in our world and stand strongly against tyranny and oppression.

The Arts are Back at Napa Valley College this Fall

Singing, dancing, acting and playing music are all back at Napa Valley College, with performances and an immersive music festival this summer, followed by a variety of classes and a full-scale musical theater production on the schedule for fall semester.
